Hip Hop September by Ian!!

MY THEME FOR SEPTEMBER - HIP HOP YO!!!!

I started out with landscaping my A4 sized document.

Then i used to Paintbucket tool to colour my background my desired colour.

Then, i turned off the background layer and I used the Brush tool and selected purple colour and just brush the area i wanted purple with a large brush size.

Then i turned on the layer again and it turned out like this...

Then, i added the basic layout consisting of text by simply using the text tool.

After this, i added the text of the legends name. After much research, I found out that the Hip Hop legends is LL Cool J which stands for Ladies Love Cool James. Cool name huh? Anyway, this is what i did, typed the name then click the layer, then right click the layer then pressed outer glow. And i set it as shown.

And then the outcome came out then i duplicated that layer and hit CTRL + T and then resized it and placed it to what i see is perfect.

After that, I got a picture of a Vinyl and pasted it to replace the letter 'E'

Next, i opened Illustrator and pasted 3 pictures inside. All of which is related to Hip Hop.

After that, i selected all the 3 pictures and pressed LIVE TRACE

And this is the outcome...

After that, I clicked EXPAND...

After clicking expand, it showed me all anchor point, as shown...

After which, i went to OBJECT and UNGROUP...

After doing so, i deleted all the objects i didnt want and kept all the objects i want... Then i noticed that inside the breakdances leg, there was a floral-like deisgn and i wanted to get rid of that so all i did was select the break dancer, click, Live Paint Bucket Tool and selected black colour and just clicked on the white spaces.

And this was the outcome...

After this, I simply dragged and dropped all these images in Photoshop and after much transforming, resizing and playing with the opacity, the outcome was such...

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!
